In the past few years, Brazil has lost protagonism on international stage. Important partnerships were cast aside, while new initiatives have yet to get off the ground. How did we come to this, and what can we do about it?

It is a natural thing that governments come and go in a democracy, and with them the priorities. But this should not negatively impact people’s lives and jobs.

It turns out that the cool cabinet of governments does not keep up with the warm life and dynamism of society. We have seen the consequences in past few years: paralyzed governments, social tensions, and the people always end up paying the bill.

What can we do about it?

Society needs to watch closely what the government is doing to act effectively. The government, in its turn, needs to hear what society has to say in order to answer accordingly.
